Tver state united museum

Tver state united museum was founded in 1866 "for the storage of samples of natural resources and the works of industry of the province of Tver, as well as objects relating to the archaeology of the region".

Tver regional picture gallery

Built for empress Catherine the great in the 18th century by the great Russian city planner P.R. Nikitin, Tver Imperial Palace, for more than 2 centuries has repeatedly changed its appearance, reflecting the styles and tastes of the times. Today within the walls of the Palace one can find the most valuable collections of various schools of painting and decorative-applied art.

Museum of the Tver life

The literary-memorial museum of M. Saltykov-Shchedrin

Opened in 1976 to the 150-th anniversary of the writer-satirist for the project of the artist Yuri Karcelli. It officially received the status of a branch of the Tver state united historical and architectural and literary museum.

The museum-exhibition center named after L. Chaikinoy of the regional House of national creativity

Tver city museum-exhibition centre

"The Tver city museum-exhibition center" was created in may 2007 and already in June the first exhibition was opened in one of its halls. In march 2009 the centre received the status of the municipal institution of culture and its work was continued in the three exhibition halls (large, small, and lecture and exhibition halls), where various exhibitions were organized monthly from the city to the international scale.

Музей оружия

Музей средневекового оружия и доспехов «Тверская оружейная палата». Основу экспозиции составляет коллекция древнего боевого оружия и доспехов IV-XVI вв.

Музей козла

Музей козла еще совсем молодой музей, он открылся осенью 2008 года. Экспозиция музея насчитывает более 500 экспонатов - все, что связано с козлом: всевозможные изделия из шкур этого животного, чучела, козлиные фигурки и сувениры из разных стран, скульптуры козла и многое другое.
