The White Trinity ChurchChurch in Tver was a witness of dramatic events in the history of the city: the devastation arranged by the oprichinks (life-guardsmen) of Ivan the Terrible, "Lithuanian devastation" and the fire of 1763.
Nativity ConventThe precise time of foundation of the convent is unknown. However, for the first time the Nativity Monastery was mentioned in the certificate issued to Hegumeness Yefimia by Great Prince Vasily Ivanovich in 1514.
The Assumption Cathedral of Otroch MonsateryThe cathedral is the only remaining building of the ancient Assumption Otroch Monastery mentioned in the chronicles for the first time at the beginning of the 13th century (1206).
The Ascension CathedralThis is the best monument of the religious architecture in the late classicism style in Tver. It is located in the center of the city at the intersection of the Sovetskaya Street (until 1919, it was the Millionnaya Street) with the Tverskoy Prospekt and plays an important city-building role in the surrounding environment.
The Christ Resurrection ChurchThis church is one of the main architectural dominants in the panorama of the Zavolzhye. This is one of the earliest monuments of the architecture of the first third of the 18th century remaining in Tver with a composition and décor characteristic for the local churches in the spirit of Naryshkin style.
